Accessibility

We want as many people as possible to be able to use our website and try to make the website text as simple as possible to understand. This means you should be able to:

  • Change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser functionality
  • Zoom in up to 400 per cent without the text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • Interact with most of the website using a screen reader

How accessible is this website

PDFs

Most of our PDFs are not fully accessible to screen reader software. If you are having problems using these PDF’s, contact your GP practice for advice.

Other parts of the website that are not fully accessible

We know that some parts of our website are not fully accessible. These include:

  • Some online forms that are not easy for screen readers to navigate.
  • Some links and images that are not self-explanatory to screen reader users.
  • Some downloadable documents may not be fully accessible for screen readers to navigate.
  • Online polls and surveys that are not easy for screen readers to navigate
  • There is a limit to how far you can magnify the map on our ‘contact us’ page.

Enforcement Procedure

If you contact us with a complaint and you are not happy with our response, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No.2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 on legislation.gov.uk (the “accessibility regulations”).
