Update 22/02/2021

Following a recent update from NHS England, an additional group of patients who may be at high risk from COVID-19 has been identified. The COVID-19 Population Risk Assessment has been developed at a national level to help identify an additional group of patients with specific multiple risk factors which, combined, may put them at similar risk to those who are clinically extremely vulnerable to severe outcomes. As a precautionary measure, this group has been added to the Shielded Patient List (SPL), on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer.

We will be inviting this group of patients as priority this week. Once these patients have been contacted we will continue with Priority Group 6 – patients with underlying health conditions which may increase the risk from COVID-19 – as we receive further deliveries of vaccines.

Patients are being contacted via text or phone. Please do not contact the surgery unless you are having problems booking via the link in your text invite. You will be contacted when it is time for your priority group to be vaccinated.

Information on the vaccine is available on the nhs.uk and gov.uk websites:
